A few days ago I made my first smoothie bowl and it was delicious. I think smoothie bowls are great for breakfast because they pack the necessary nutrients to get you through the day. I made a strawberries and blueberries smoothie bowl and blended the following: 1 pot of Onken strawberry yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, chia seeds and ice. After blending I topped it off with strawberries, blueberries, chia seeds and Jordan country crisp. On the second day of making the smoothie bowl I added spirulina powder to the mixture which I bought from Aldi for £2.49.
Constantly comparing yourself to others is unhealthy at all ages. I say all ages because remember how it made you feel as a child when your parents compared you to your best friend who was very smart or your well behaved cousin or one of your friends who they thought was an angel but you knew otherwise… Yeah? It’s still unhealthy now as it was back then but this time you’re doing it to yourself. When you compare yourself to others, you start pointing out your flaws, all the things you haven’t done compared to them and how much “better” other people […]
Today I reached 1000 views on apieceofsarah.com It was my goal for January and I’m over the moon. It’s nice to see my website taking shape. I also have an Instagram where I post healthy food and a Twitter account, if you didn’t know already. I would like to thank everyone who have supported me through retweeting, following, liking & reposting. It does not go unnoticed and it is so appreciated. I decided to write this post because as humans we really don’t give ourselves enough credit on what we have achieved and focus on all the bad things we have done […]
2017 is finally upon us and a new year means new goals. Unlike the previous uncompleted new year resolutions, this year will be different. We will achieve what we said we will, once we stay focused. I created this infographic to encourage you to stay focused on what you want. Set clear goals Whatever your goal is, it has to be clearly defined. You need to know the exact outcome of what you want. Ensure your goals are S.M.A.R.T S.M.A.R.T goals are : Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time Sensitive Specific: What exactly do I want to accomplish? Measurable: How […]
Seems like everyone in the blog universe is reviewing their year, so I might as well do the same. Two thousand and sixteen, you have been good to me. This year has been exceptional and I have truly been blessed. Obviously it wasn’t always plain sailing but I got into shore safely and had my fair share of large cocktails. The best parts were completing my placement, my holidays, going to several concerts, gaining more of a direction of where my life is going and exploring what my real passions are. Placement: Completing my placement has been my most meaningful achievement so far. Life […]
Friendships are weird, you meet someone, you start talking, notice you enjoy the same things and you build from there. As time goes on you become friends. Over the last few years I’ve realized the significance of friendships and why it’s essential to limit who gets to know the real you. Friends have an affect on our happiness, self esteem and not to mention stress levels. So it’s wise to not accept or entertain everyone as a friend because not everyone deserves you. Not everyone has the same heart as you and quite frankly not everyone is entitled to your time. From my experience there are so […]
My mantra when things are going wrong. So today I fully started my diet. I’ve decided to lose weight and improve my lifestyle. I follow too many video vixens and fitness gurus to not try again #badbitchcontestyouinfirstplace. Anyway back to the main point of this post, also today I had four hours sleep and accidently smashed my phone. As you do. If this was a few months ago I would have probably thought the world was against me and wondered “what have I done to deserve this?” In all honesty I did think “Why me? What have I done to […]
Today I’m writing about consistency because it affects my life in more ways than I had originally thought. I remember all the times where I wasn’t consistent and failed to get the results I wanted. Then I remember all the times I’ve been consistent and I was happy with the outcome because I had exceeded my own expectation of myself because I was consistent. Both times the only person that could control the outcome was myself. CONSISTENCY /kənˈsɪst(ə)nsi/ The ability to behave and act in in a similar way overtime. I say ability because it’s a skill and it’s bloody hard. My favourite times where being consistent […]
